Are you looking for a church?


Just any church? Or a truly healthy one? Perhaps you have moved and are unfamiliar with the area. Or you could be a new Christian in need of a place to worship. A healthy church is one that reflects six significant qualities you want to look for. Before you set a foot out your door, though, we encourage you to ask God to lead you in your search. He desires your worship, especially as part of His local body, and He will direct you to the right church for you.
1. A Healthy church reaches out to others. It wants the believer to grow spiritually. The church uses worship, instruction, and fellowship to equip Christians to then take the message of God's love to the world.

2. A Healthy church has a contagious style. Like a magnet, a church with a contagious style draws people to its doors. Four features comprise this style: It is biblical in content. Messages are
based on the Word of God. It is authentic in nature. This is a church that believes what its says. It is gracious in attitude. It sees itself as a family, not as a corporation. It is relevant in approach. This church shows how God's word applies to today's needs, and issues.

3. A Healthy Church balances Biblical Instruction with personal application. We emphasize biblical teaching that is solid and consistent and helps its membership to grow in several ways. It stabilizes and matures our faith in times of testing. It also increases our ability to detect and confront error. It also gives us wisdom.

4. A Healthy Church exudes Warmth. The early church were continually devoting themselves to fellowship. They were always sharing with those in need. The church has demonstrated a genuine concern for each other.

5. A Healthy Church glorifies God. The Bible says, do all to the glory of God I Cor.10:31. We glorify God and not ourselves.

6. A Healthy Church Worships God with a genuine spirit of Devotion. There was an interaction among the early church members. They were in fellowship with God and each other. Their souls would soar when they worshipped. There was a wonder and praise that was worthy of an Almighty God in the church.
